Thursday, October 23, 2008 was a milestone date in ProScan history! On that day, Reading Services marked the millionth registered case at ProScan since its J4 case tracking system was adopted in 2004.  The highly anticipated millionth case took place around 1:30 pm, after  which the onsite Reading Services group gathered outside to commemorate the occasion (see photo).

Since April 2004, J4’s electronic database has kept track of how many procedures have been performed at ProScan. In just four-and-a-half years, ProScan’s radiologists have read 1 million cases (and counting); this figure does not account for the hundreds of thousands of cases processed before April 2004. Dr. Stephen Pomeranz, Medical Director and CEO of Proscan Imaging, comments, “We are proud of our volume accomplishments… but even more proud of the entire team’s dedication to caring about patients and solving medical problems with unparalleled accuracy using advanced imaging.”
